Sr.MTS/MTS Application Engineer

Role & Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate and drive the R&D team to continuous improve our optical inspection & metrology equipment, provide input on the development of new equipment and technologies based on market needs. 2. Develop and optimize tool applications for customer-specific processes, leading to increase in measurement accuracy and throughput. 3. Optimize applications for inspection systems to detect, classify, and analyze defects on semiconductor wafer products. 4. Analyze defect data to identify root causes of yield loss and develop corrective actions or process optimizations. Work with customers to integrate inspection data into their process control systems to improve manufacturing yield and reduce scrap. 5. Participate in the testing and validation of new prototypes and software, ensuring product specifications are met before customer deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software algorithms and hardware solutions that improve defect detection accuracy and speed. 6. Serve as a technical expert on systems, defect inspection technologies, and yield enhancement methodologies. Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions for internal teams, customers, and partners to promote understanding of defect inspection and yield enhancement. Prepare technical documentation, including application notes, user manuals, and training materials. 7. Provide on-site and remote support for the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of tool systems, resolving issues within the first visit or call. Assist customers in optimizing their equipment setups and metrology processes to achieve maximum performance. Qualifications: 1. BS, MS or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field. 2. 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, defect inspection, metrology or yield enhancement in the semiconductor Fab or equipment industry. 3. Deep understanding of optical inspection technologies, such as optical microscopy, scanning optical systems (Dark field/Bright field/White-light/IR interferometer…), and advanced image processing for defect detection & metrology in semiconductor manufacturing. 4. Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, defect inspection, classification, metrology and yield management. 5. Experience with optical inspection & metrology systems, detection methods, image processing, and data analysis tools. 6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Ability to interact with customers, team members, and senior management effectively. 7. Ability to travel up to 30% for customer site visits, system installations, and on-site support.
