Software Engineer - Optical Wafer Inspection

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and passionate Software Engineer with a strong interest in industrial automation. As a core developer, you will participate in the design, development, and maintenance of our wafer inspection and metrology tools. The ideal candidate will be proficient in C#/C++ and WPF, possess solid database design skills, and have hands-on experience translating complex industrial processes into stable, efficient software solutions. Key Responsibilities • Participate in the requirements analysis, architecture design, core module coding, and testing of inspection and metrology software. • Develop high-performance, highly interactive inspection tool applications using C#/C++ and WPF. • Design and develop communication and data acquisition modules for different hardware such as PLCs, robots, sensors, and other devices. • Responsible for the design, development, and optimization of control software ensure data accuracy and real-time processing throughput. • Write clear technical documentation, including design specs, API documentation, and user manuals. • Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, QA engineers, and project managers to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues during software development and system integration. • Follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, and continuously optimize software performance and maintainability. Qualifications • Essential Requirements: o Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, or a related field. o 3+ years of practical experience in commercial software development using C#, with a deep understanding of .NET Framework/.NET Core. o 2+ years of experience developing complex desktop applications with WPF, proficient in XAML, MVVM pattern, data binding, custom controls, etc. o Direct involvement in the development of industrial automation software projects. o Solid database design and development skills, proficient with SQL Server or MySQL, and skilled in SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning. o Familiar with key technologies such as multi-threading, asynchronous programming, Socket communication, and serial port communication. o Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills, with knowledge of common design patterns. o Excellent logical thinking, learning ability, and teamwork spirit. • Preferred Qualifications: o Experience in full-cycle development of wafer inspection/metrology systems is a plus. o Knowledge of SECS/GEM. o Basic understanding of common industrial hardware (frame grabber, motion controller, robot) and their control principles. o Good English reading skills for technical documentation.
