StepFun — Sales Manager / Senior Sales Manager / Sales Director, US Location: San Francisco Bay Area | Full-time About the Role StepFun is building our founding US GTM team. We're looking for a hunter-minded sales manager operator to drive API revenue in North America — owning the full pipeline from prospecting to close. This is a quota-carrying sales role, not a pure relationship-management position. You'll need to talk about LLMs, AI agents, and model APIs with enough depth to earn credibility with technical buyers, while running a structured outbound motion. What You'll Do - Own the end-to-end sales cycle for StepFun's model API in the North American market — from lead generation to signed deal, hitting revenue targets - Source and convert pipeline through cold outreach, industry events, community engagement, and channel partnerships - Manage the full sales process: qualify, demo, negotiate, close, and expand — building long-term customer relationships that drive usage growth - Carve out your own patch based on your background — whether that's channel / MaaS partnerships, enterprise direct sales, or the AI-native startup ecosystem — and collaborate with the rest of the BD team on cross-coverage What We're Looking For - 1–8 years of B2B sales or BD experience in AI, cloud, or SaaS — could be from a cloud provider, enterprise tech company (Enterprise AE), AI startup, or a non-traditional sales background within the startup / venture ecosystem - English fluency sufficient to work directly with US-based teams and customers - Can go deep on LLMs, AI agents, and model API technical scenarios in conversation with practitioners and decision-makers - Hunter profile — you've built pipeline from zero before and are comfortable operating in ambiguity Nice to Have - Sales experience at an AI company with a US go-to-market motion - Existing network of enterprise customer relationships in the US, or strong connections in the Bay Area startup / VC ecosystem - Familiarity with cloud provider channel operations and co-sell motions
